Call for papers special issue: Project Management Education and Artificial Intelligence

The Journal of Technology and Science Education (JOTSE) invites submissions for a Special Issue on Project Management Education and Artificial Intelligence, promoted by AEIPRO.

This Special Issue aims to provide an international forum for research and educational innovation on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the teaching and learning of project management. As AI tools increasingly influence professional practice, higher education, engineering education, and other learning environments are facing new opportunities and challenges in preparing students and professionals for project-based work in complex and technology-rich contexts.

We welcome contributions that examine how AI can enhance project management education through improved teaching strategies, assessment methods, decision-making support, collaboration, feedback, simulation, and competence development. At the same time, we encourage critical perspectives addressing ethical issues, academic integrity, responsible use of AI, and the pedagogical implications of integrating these tools into teaching practice.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Artificial intelligence in project management teaching and learning
  • Generative AI for planning, scheduling, risk analysis, and decision-making
  • AI-supported assessment of project management competences
  • Project-based learning and teamwork in AI-enhanced environments
  • Ethical and responsible use of AI in educational settings
  • Curriculum innovation for project management education in the AI era
  • Learning analytics, tutoring systems, and feedback tools
  • Experiences and case studies from engineering, business, technology, and related disciplines

We welcome original research articles, case studies,  and educational innovation papers that offer methodological rigor, educational relevance, and practical implications.
In accordance with the journal’s publication policy, article processing charges will be covered individually by each author of an accepted paper.


Submission deadline: March 1st, 2027
Expected publication: October 2027
