Abstract

Evaluating the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) on higher education is crucial today, not only to enhance teaching and learning dynamics but also to understand its effective integration into educational institutions. This article aims to present an instrument developed to assess the impact, pedagogical implications, and attitudes related to the use of GAI applications in university educational processes. The development of this instrument is based on a study conducted using a descriptive quantitative research methodology, employing a structured survey design. A sample of 471 higher education students was used for validation. The analysis confirmed the quality of the instrument by evaluating its reliability and validity. The questionnaire demonstrates high internal consistency and adequate validation, ensuring coherence, reliability, and alignment with a solid theoretical framework. Tools like the questionnaire developed in this study are essential for assessing how GAI affects and is employed in higher education. Utilizing such tools can promote positive practices in the application of GAI and enhance educational standards.
